Looking for someone who has had experience with the new 2004 CBR1000RR exhausts, what brands have you tried and what seems to work the best? I am looking for something that comes streight out the rear, not offset. Also what about a powercommander or MAP any advice?

There are some pics of different stuff on 1000RR.net. I myself am trying to find a pic of a Leo Vinci. I can find a price but no pic anywhere. I have seen one on a 600RR, and thats it.

The Akra looks pretty straight, also the Arrow.

The Hindle looks great on one too! especially with the carbon fiber can, I have a friend with one on his new 1000RR and it comes streight out the back unlike some of the others that turn to the side, I really don't think this was the correct can though I think it was just the 16" bolt on. I called the Hindle distributor in NY and he said the CF one was not out yet and he should know (right?)

I have purchased the Arata full system and the PCIII with MAP for the 1000RR I am going to dyno it before and after and will let everyone know what the results are. As all know all dynos are different but the true test is the HP gain! Should have results by the first of next week! (8-1-04)
Thanks and keep me posted as to any of your updates!

Nice choice---I did the same--adds approx 10HP--Dan Kyle has a graph floating around somewhere

I went with the 2 Bros. I used to have it on the Erion and it was nice and sounded good.
As far as on the 1000, man this thing is LOUD!!!!! At jennings it was the loudest bike on the track, nice deep tone. When I upgrade to full system it will prolly be to a Arata or TSR.
Here are some pics of when I installed it. It is barely crooked if you look at it from the back, but Im really picky. And the end of the can looks really cool IMHO. Before I got it and saw it on pictures I thought it looked bad, but after I saw it I knew this was the SO I was gonna get before full.

Has anyone tried the Micron Delta +? Looks close to stoacker - comes in race and street versions (has a removeable baffle ). I certainly like the look but have no idea of the numbers....

The guy that runs mcnews.com.au rekons he got 10h.p from the Micron Delta can..............not sure if it was street or race though................. find that hard to believe though. I've dyno'd a Jardine slip on and got about 2h.p. Alot of the newer bikes are getting small gains with mufflers yet big gains with systems, so....................... Until I see it for myself...............

In Performance Bike this month they did a test on this can and it put out less HP throughout the entire RPM range---this was with the baffle in--they didnt show any dyno w/o the baffle

The best sounding bike so far that i have ever heard was from a 1000 with an arrow exhaust. it had the underseat, and the side exhaust like the gp bikes. this thing sounded awesome. can't describe it other than saying it had a tight sound, no raspiness, and a perfect growl. the best comparrison i can give is listening to the exhaust of a 911 turbo, or an M5. you can just tell that they reak of performance.

I had the Moriwaki system like that on my 600RR and it sounded crap. Like a vacuum cleaner. haha. Haven't heard the Arrow though.

There are other things to consider too when putting on an exhaust (slip-on vs full) What are you looking for? Noise or over-all performance? :idunno: You just can’t believe how much weight you will save when you add the full system, but on the other hand if you want to just make it loud with out much substance do a bolt-on, :crying: yes I do recognize there is a (sometimes) large difference in cost but sometimes it’s just worth the wait in time to save up the money to buy the best! :eyebrows:
With the Honda CBR1000RR weight was a problem and that is why I chose the system I did and I am very happy with it, thank you.

I'm with you 100% on that one oh crummy one. haha. Arata all the way.
Arata will have a slip on available soon for the 1000RR too. They have them for the ZX10 now.

I have the Erion on mine. Sounds a lot like the 2Bros - nice, deep rumble to it. Can is perfectly straight coming out of the back too. It's not an oval though, so it doesn't quite fill up the undertail..

I won't argue it's the best or anything, but it looked and sounded pretty good.

According to the sound meter at Laguna Seca---the Arata is louder than pee--more precisely ALOT louder than the 9292s Micron

I have just installed the Akrapovic evolution slip on in carbon it looks and sounds fantastic. The build quality is faultless, the sound isnt too loud untill you really wind it up.
