Had a full hindle system..on my 2001 929 went to go for a ride to school noticed my ignition was forced but still works after i got the piece of flat head out of it.. fired it up and it was very VERY loud.. looked and sure enough my exhaust is gone..

Is anyone selling anything? Maybe even a hindle can.. Im just really frustrated right now.. Had to file a police report and everything..

Long as the pipe diameters are the same, you should be ok using most slip-ons.

As for seeing it on ebay, it probably won't happen. More likely to see it on a local bike that up for sale.

anyone else have any insight on it? One of my headers seems messed up from the trying to remove the exhaust.. but yeah the bike sounded straight piped when i started her.

The crush gasket may have fallen out if they were trying to remove the header, I'd check to see if its not on the ground laying where the bike was parked at.

I'm not saying this to be a dick, but it sounds like you don't know much about it. I would take it to a local shop and have em look it over. Most of the local guys around me will take a look for free to make sure the rest of the exhaust is OK. Then when you get the can, slip it on and find out. If it doesn't work, throw it on CL and see if anybody wants to trde. If you really get lucky, the ********er that stole your can wont be able to fit it on his bike and will try to trade you cans and you can thump him for being a POS, then call the cops

it's a good thing he didn't have a pickup and help. Or your whole bike could be gone. When my buddy laid his 954 down, it only took the 2 of us to chuck it in the back of a pickup. Very light bikes

Its pretty simple to measure the diameter of an exhaust pipe. All you need is a tape measure or ruler and measure across the open end of the midpipe. Hindle makes very few 2.25" exhausts plus I just installed a full Hindle system on my 954 about a month ago so I know for sure its a 2" system and a 929 would have the same exhaust size.

Well I ment for adapting the 2.25 inch outlet to the midpipe.. Can I get a exhaust shop to fab up an adaptor to the midpipe and then bolt on the jardine can?

If the Jardine muffler is a bolt on and not a slip on its going to take quite a bit of fab work to fit the Hindle midpipe. Instead of paying for all that work I would just watch Ebay or cl for a used Hindle muffler.
