I'm embarked upon an adventure to fit F4i forks to a VFR800, it's been done before but not enough to get a consensus on the correct adjustments to make it work optimally. At 145lbs, I have trouble deciding which spring rate will be ideal, surely not the stock F4i's .66kg/mm which will be way too soft for the hefty VFR.

Now, I have a few questions about F4i suspension upgrades.

- Which large port compression valves are easiest to fit in the forks? I hear that Showa bits (20mm?) from older Hondas (F3 maybe?) are a straight bolt-on. Anyone here has done it?

- Which spring rates have been tried here? What were the corresponding shim stack specs for these rates?
