Check the wires, to the thermostat, to the wirng harness, ground etc.. There's also a fuse marked fan on the cover by the battery, 20 amp I think, at least on 929's.

I remember When I did the valve service on my last bike the peice of sheetmetal that goes around the fan got bent a little and stopped the fan from turning it immediately blew the fuse. If your fuse is blown make sure you check to see if the fan will turn freely.

When electric fans go out it's usually from shorted motor windings, this will cause the fuse to pop. Check it by putting an ohmmeter on the fans electrical connections. Call your dealer's service department and ask what the spec should be. Good luck!
