Well after owning my 954 for 5 years and putting 20k miles on it she had her first Dyno run last night.

She made 145.3 at 11.5k rmp
and 71.17 fp at 9600.

Bike is stock other then a Leo Vince bolt on. Does this sound about right, how does it compare to others 954's?

145 is DAMN good ! a stock 954 makes around 139-140 hp.I wonder what my 929 would pull on the dyno ,just under 38k miles on it

sound very good to me - book figures from Honda are a load of :bs: :crap:

renagade929 - mine made 123bhp as stock (~12,000miles), 133bhp after PCiii custom map, bmc, blueflame evo with top baffle fitted, lower removed (keeps noise down a bit for road, still louder than Akro on my friends zx10r!!). big improvement is the mid range rather than out and put power, its just pulls all teh way through like a train compared with stock :D

cool, nice curves ;)

see the dips between 5/6,000 and again 7/8,000 on the blue line? (shows on teh red onoe too but not so obviously). Thats what a PC with bespoke map will get rid of making the bike smooth right throught the revs, even without gaining peak power (which you will) it makes the bike so sweet! :)

and one other thing to be aware of, not that it's a big deal, but dealers tend to inflate their numbers slightly, not every dyno is going to give th same numbers, depends on how it's calibrated. If you have your bike dyno'd at a dealership around here they will be a lil higher(1-3 hp in most cases) then if you take it to a performance shop, there's tend to be a lil more accurate. May not be the same for the dealerships up there, but just thought I'd say something from my experience

The last official Honda information I saw on the 954's was stated at 154HP. If you subtract 10% for driveline losses; you get 140HP, just what some of you are claiming. It all sounds reasonable to me...

Hi,

My stock CBR954RR is currently running on 132BHP and has done about 20,000 miles / 32,000 Kilometres. It will be doing in for the tappets adjusting and maybe mapping.

I will be fitting a Micron Slip on (Race use) can and a Power Comander 3. Will that help boost the BHP?

Thanks

Yep that will boost the BHP a bit, but you will also get improvements throughout the rev range with the fueling. You'll especially notice this at lower rpms, where the fueling can be a bit fluffy.

Cheers

I can see what you mean. Pulling away at the lights there is a blip. Still doesnt stop me bringing up the front end.

I do normal driving but with abit of agressiveness (No track). If i were to change the sprokets, what would you say i should go for? I only go to about 140-150Mph, so not really looking for mssive top end, but i want to be able to drive it normally over 1 or 2 hours without killing me or the bike.

Thanks

Huh, maybe my 954 just has a lot of miles on it and needs something adjusted. I had mine put on a dyno (Edycurrent) and it only produced about 127 at the rear.
