Hi all,I took off my front fork today to get a new seal replacement as it was leaking oil,but on closer inspection atfer cleaning it there are lots of score marks on it and ssemed to be tiny bits of grit in the oil which presumably caused the scratches!will this have to be rechromed/polished before i replace the seal?:idunno:

There is metal in the oil due to the sliding surfaces of the bushes wearing, it's normal. If you can actually feel the scoring then there may be a problem. Is the other fork the same?
