I recently tried to do a sprocket change on my 1995 900rr. When I removed the cover of the front sprocket, the head of the bolt was stripped. Is there any easy way of getting the bolt off? heat, grinder, etc.

Could I used a grinder and cut the head off and still have enough bolt underneath to work with?

any tools that may help?

Any input would be helpful,
Thanks

File it down a bit so you have two flat surfaces - it'll make it a bit easier. Assuming there's space to do it (can't recall if the bolts are recessed a bit inside the cover or not)?

Just get yourself a 5-6mm sharp drill bit and drill off the head..U wont be able to grind 2 flats on it no room..Its easy mate just make u have a decent drill and run it at highish speed. The bolts are soft so cut easily
