will a 16 inch front wheel from a 1993 sc28 fit on a 1995 sc28 model. i read that there are minor differences between these models, one being the 93 model has the speedo in the front wheel hub. don't know if this means that the wheel is different? can a 1993 wheel be put on a 1995 model without any modifications?

below is copied from another post in this forum

"The 93-94 CBR 900RR 16in. Wheel has the Speedo in the Front Wheel Hub!

The 95-97 CBR 900RR 16in. Wheel has the Speedo in the Transmission! And so does the 98/99 CBR 900RR!

The 93 through the 97 CBR 900RR 16in. Wheel has the 290mm Front Rotors as to the *98/99 CBR 900RR has the 320mm Rotors!!! That's why the Front Forks on the 98/99 are BIGGER!

So, the 93/94, the 95-97 and the 98/99 CBR 900RR have THREE Diff: Front 16in. Wheels!!! There are alot of people who still don't realize that!!!"

Simple answer is yes, it will fit using the speedo drive as the LEFT SPACER. The only issue is now you have a large ugly left spacer. All else is same.

I don't know what the dimension is from the left inner bearing race to the inner fork tube. You potentially could use the 95 spacers if that distance was the same as the 93, but then you have an open hub area where the speedo drive used to fit into the larger bearing seal. Hope that helps.

oke, i will need the speedo drive as a spacer. i can live with that. will the rear wheel fit without problem? assuming they are all the same, or am i incorrect?
