Hi everyone brand new to the site! Been reading and searching through here for a while and finally picked up a 2006 CBR1000rr and love it!

Anyway i am having a slight issue and i cant seem to find the answer.

Bought the bike it was in pieces timing jumped bent valves etc etc.. so rebuild the bike new head valves timed everything and got it running and it runs great! tore it down to replace the CCT and when putting it back together i didnt look and what color wire went to what on the fuel pump :banghead: and the previous owner cut the wire and put his own connectors on so its not the factory plug, and on top of that all different colors..

My question is can someone help identify which color goes to what.. i searched the wiring diagrams but non i can zoom in and see clear enough to determine the color code.

Thanks in Advance!!

Well i figured it out by doing a volt test and just tracing wires. I turned the key on and listened for the relay to click at the same time i was measuring the volts going to each wire, which ever wire went from 0-12 volts and back to 0 when the second relay clicked was the power wire. On the fuel pump you have three wires yellow/red, black/white/ and red/black. On the wiring harness you have three also Green , Brown, and Brown and black. they hook up Green=Black/white (ground wires) , Brown=Yellow, red (power wire for fuel pump), and Brown/black=red/black (low fuel light). ;-) Happy Riding!!

Guys does the brown and black stay powered all the time? I have this issue and I’m not getting power on brown but black and blown seems to powered all the time. Any advice? Thanks
Hi is your bike the same year ,2006 cbr1000rr, then the Brown/Black wire is the Sensor Light wire to the cluster, and it is driven by the Fuel Cutoff Relay Brown wire, swap that relay with the Fan Relay to prove the circuit

My answer could be dumb but I already tried to find relays on the bike and didn’t find them. It says left side but nothing, maybe under the air box? It’s a 2005 but I think it should be in the same place. Sorry for my bad English.
Take the left middle fairing off ,you will see the relay box there, it holds the relays, have you got the workshop manual to use
You have three wires yellow with red tracer red with white tracer and black with white tracer yellow is pump pos....hope you get it going jred is signal from ecu and black is ground on pump yellow goes to plus on pump red goes to neg on pump and black goes to ground on.
