You'd have to check RK's specs.
I run a DID ERV2 or 3 on my 929 race bike.
The ERV3 is rated at 8660lbs tensile strength I think.

Don't think so as that link says "RK520GXW Chain on 900cc" which I think is RK's equivalent to the ERV3.
Either way I doubt it would be unsafe. If it's a weaker chain though it probably won't last as long.

Hi Okami.

I've run a DID520VM (8000lbs tensile strength) and an RK520XSO (7930lbs) on my 954 without any problems. I ride mostly on the track and give the chain a fair work out so am pretty confident that (provided you aren't stunting) you wont have any problems.

I went all the way with my bike and run a GXW chain. I didn't want to take any chances with 154hp at the rear wheel.

Can this chain be clipped? does it come with the clipping accesories, if not, does anyone have an idea what the labor would be to install this chain with rivet @ shops?

Absolutely not. A clip style master link is recommended only up to 600cc motors.

Fit the chain yourself. It's easy. Buy a rivet tool.....they're only about $60-$80. You can cut the chain down to the desired length with a Dremel cutting wheel. You don't need to cut through the links like it's a chain. Simply cut/grind the top rivets off so they're flush with the plate, then use a screwdriver to pry the plate off, then just push the bridging link out. Cover the chain with a rag so you minimise the amount of metal filings that get into the chain.

Make sure to count the rivets twice before you cut. Put a mark on the link you are cutting..it's easy to get the wrong one as they are identical in appearance! When you put the chain on, make sure to use kerosense only (NOT WD40!) to clean off the white chain storage lubricant, then use the Honda Pro teflon lubricant to lube the chain. Dupont also sell a teflon chain lubricant too that is awesome.
