Anyone have any suggestions for a nice bed-n-breakfast or spa destination in the lower 48 States for, oh, a three night hop out of town in mid December?

I'm thinking San Diego or New Mexico, perhaps Arizona...though I wouldn't rule out someplace cold (i.e. mountains).

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thanks all!

Don't have a bike right now, so Deals Gap is out (been there before however). :)

Besides, I'd prefer a warmer envrionment. Not mandatory, just a preference.

Any other suggestions?

If you're not really in the beach/coast mood, then this site has some other good offerings as well...give it a whirl........:thumb:
+1. My wife and I have gone there the last two years and it's great. I'll put some pics up of our last trip for you Chain ole buddy. It's an awesome place, and this time of year is quiet and affordable. But you gamble a bit w/ the weather.

Hrmm, well, that does look interesting. I hope someone else chimes in here with some alternatives simply so I've got a few picks to choose from.

Disclaimer: Mine are waterfall/hiking oriented and remote locations. So other than the seclusion and unique scenery, these are not a place for yuppies or folks looking for lots of frill ;)

I just got around to researching some of what you suggested. We're both active (the SO and I), therefore, I think that's a possibility!

My wife and I stayed here in 2001 in The Garden House (shown in the picture). It's beautiful out there and in the middle of no-where. Awesome place with big whirlpool tubs and things.

For activity, the other thing we did before staying in this B&B was camp at the Lime Kiln State Park. Good hiking up into the hills and the beach is right there too. Probably not more than 1 days worth of hiking though.
