So I've lost forth gear on my way to work one morning.... (cbr929rr) It kinda seems to engage, but the moment you give it throttle it would just free rev....

Fingers crossed it's just the shift fork...

I remember reading something about the shift forks being a much easier job, just pull the clutch and pan, slide this out, drop that down, and tada.... But for the life of me I can't find that article again (assuming my memory is correct and it was infact for a cbr929rr)

I know I can pull the whole damn motor out and split the case, but I really don't want to do that unless it's a must.....

Can someone walk me through the cliffs notes of the procedure? or am I dreaming.....

Thanks in advance!

I would assume losing a single gear would actually be the gear itself.... I could be wrong though. The 954 is the same operation so that post should be loads of help. Good luck with the inquiry- let us know the outcome (with pictures too!!)
