Hi everyone its been a while since if posted on the forum dont know if tou al remember me . . . im the bloak from south africa lol . . .i thought i wouldnt come back to this forum for asking advice as i am pretty much mechanically inclined myself . .. But sadly i do need some help or rather information and as always it will be very much appreciated . . .so here we go . . last weekend i repainted my bike and as i was standing there taking a picture i remebered i had some f4i fairings in the shed that i meant to put on a year ago . . . but i never did as i needed the upper fairing stay bracket and here in south africa the f2,f3,f4 and f4i were grey imports for those of you that doesnt know what it means is that specific bike was never meant to be imported to south africa and the only way it could be imported is by bike shop selling second hand bikes or individuals that imported those bike themselves . . . so obviously parts for these bikes are scarce . . . now imhoping some one figured out a way to install these fairings without using the OEM fairing stay if tried numerous attempts to make a braket myself but habe fail the braket was iether way to weak to hold the fairing with the or it would just have never worked and i dont have the dimemsions of the OEM bracket so i cant really machine one as i dont want the bracket to be larger than it should be resulting in a fairing that hangs to far over the front wheel . . so please if anyone has figured a way around this or made a bracket themselves and would share the information with me that would be great . . .as always thanks guys.here are some photos after the paint job i still need to paint the tail but i ran out of funds.
