so i purchased a 1990 honda cbr600f1 hurricane today and i am in love with how it rides. only down sides: needs new fairings (as of now i took off the cracked lime green ones and have it set up as a naked bike) and a tune up (sitting for a year) also, does anyone know why the coolant temp gauge might not be working? thanks guys!

oh and i got the bike after selling my subaru and paying off all my debt!

paid:
900 for the bike, and 1200 for a camry!

I had one of those a few years ago. Fun bike and super comfortable.
Can't help you with the gauge. I sold my manual with the bike.

Well done on paying off your debt. Not many people can say that these days. :crap:

Pull the plug off the sensor and very briefly ground it out to engine block. I say "briefly" cause it can ruin your gauge if it's grounded too long. Anyways, needle on gauge should jump over to the hot side if it's working correctly. If it does, might need to replace the sensor. I had an 88 1000 Hurricane, LOVED that bike. Had 1049 kit, ported head, 39mm flatslides...that thing would fly for an older CBR.
