On my way to work I hit a deer that got in my way. It did not end well for the deer and my bike.😢

So sad matey , as long as you are alright and the bike can be repaired , hopefully it was a quick end for the deer:cry:
There are always deer on this road so I am always on the look
out for them. Somehow I manage not to go down. It would of
been a lot worse if I did. I'm starting to order parts and looking for
parts that are no longer available from Honda. Maybe by the
end of summer I'll have her back on the road.

P.S. The deer stopped moving after about 30 seconds.

Glad you made it through in one peace! The bike does need some TLC, but it can be done.

Living out here in the sticks, this is one of my greatest fears when I rip down that empty backroad at 100mph with my hair on fire.

Did you keep it upright?

It happened so fast, somehow I did not go down! I feel that someone was watching over me. My Guardian Angle.
Wow, rare that you don't go down on 2 wheels when hitting a deer! Your guardian angel was definitely with you!
Yea that is insane to hit the deer hard enough for it to pass in 30 secs and yet you did not go down. Good for you man.

I once took a turn too wide just after overtaking traffic over 100mph (stupid) on a mountain road on my triumph sprint st 1050 and rode on the dirt/grass/rocks for quite a while after going off. Somehow I did not hit a bolder or slide out. I (In shame) signaled for traffic to just keep going. It was bumpy as hell and the bike was trying to throw me off and I kept it up and had zero damage. These moments really grab you by the balls and are shocking for sure.

You know when I watch motorcycle fail/crash/traffic compilations it's seeing the bikes get damaged that hurt the most lol. Makes me cringe and hurts my heart. But I'm very happy for you that the damage is manageable and totally repairable. A+

You can install tiny deer whistles. Parts for your bike you can get everything on eBay, I see tons of cbr parts for 900/929 from plastics & frames, rims etc cheap & few others on Amazon. Don’t matter the color, you can get decals and paint the CBR parts like I did.
Yeah, I already ordered what I needed. Just waiting for the stuff to show up
so I can start the rebuilding process.

Good to hear
I have a 929 2001 CBR, it would look really cool if you had those stealth mirrors on yours. I bought my mirrors today. It says they are for a 900 & 929 . Usually they’re expensive but I found some for $28 so if you’re interested here’s the link…
Deers suck!!! good luck.
