Love a blade on song.
Does the gopro have a gimbal of sorts?
No gimbal just stuck in regular bracket. I was surprised how good quality i was in this way without gimbal.

Sounds is so great and this is Acrapovic with DB killer mounted.
Don´t dare to try without DB killer since it is max 96 db on our tracks.

Hi all.

I changed pads at track after first session and now you need to take it easy first laps and don´t break hard so you don´t glassed pads.
Today i will change front disc and it is the same i beginning with them to take it easy first?

I will have disc that is on now for extra since they need a good clean because bobbins are stuck and not little loose and tat´s why i got shatter when i break.

I have never changed break fluid so i wonder is it hard to do by yourself?
Or should i leave to a firm?

Today was front disc change.
Disc are from Moto Action and many racers here use them and I got them for a good price.
made a good clean on front wheel and brakes at same time and a quick clean of bike.

Motorcycle on trailer again. Tomorrow Track day at Sviestad with Aprilia Club Sweden. See if I am only Honda there. Hopefully new pads and front break disc will work fine.

So second Track day is done.
I rode i medium group an there was four groups total.
Slow, Medium, Fast and Very Fast.
Very informative to look at video after where i see i have wrong gear in many corners and break to early. Hope i learn from this until next day middle of June.
I also learnt that i had to high tyre pressure both front and back.
Really great day with no crash in any group.
Damn those new Aprilias owns me straight forward with traction control, antispin and antiwheelie but i close in at corners on some.
Today i cleaned helmet and skin suit and maybe tomorrow bike.
Maybe time for new back tyre already and will order so i have one home. '
Almost 18 minutes video in link where two first laps were to get up temp in tyres and i saw on lap three or four someone was out on track and turned in when we was entering corner. Idiot.

Time to prepare bike for two Track Days again 16:th and 17:th June at Mantorp Park. See how me and my bike feel after two days since I was tired after one day in my body last.
Right now it shows between 22-25 C and sunny so a lot of water with me. Bike have new brake fluid and after these days there will be new tyres for the bike and change sprockets and chain.
Maybe new cooling fluid also.

Looks like a fun track, i'm super keen to get my 929 on track this year, got a thread up with my first video if your interested. Good luck on the 16th and 17th!
Yes i saw your bike and it looks great.
I started to think about maybe build just a Track Bike from my 954 also since i like riding on track much more then street so we see after this season what i do during winter :)

Could you afford to buy a cheapish 600 and make that a dedicated track bike?
That is another way to go @nigelrb
I will evaluate after this season how i will go further with this.
My 954 has already Öhlins in front fork and complete Nitron back with new breaks and all so if i sell it i will not get paid for those stuff sadly.
We see what happens later but this year it will be street legal also.

After two Track Days I am back home with new experience and a broken clutch. I will fix the clutch but I really start to think about a newer Blade 2008 and forward. Problem is that on one course we have a 800-1000 meter straight and my 954 don’t have a chance against newer bikes with say 30-40 horsepower more and quickshifter, traction control and all. I am faster in corners against many but they disappear on the straight. So what to do? As Tom Cruise said in Top Gun “I got the need for speed”

Since you're coming out of corners quicker, could you run slightly taller gearing - even 1 tooth on the rear? I understand your acceleration will suffer marginally, but your 5th and 6th gear speeds will be better.

Anyone can go fast in a straight line! But I get your point. I used to ride a 600 at track days.
If you are spending a bit of cash to upgrade to a 1000, look at spending that cash on your bike as well before deciding. IMHO a 954 with carbon wheels is a lot cooler than a later model 1000.

Did you dyno it? Mine has 139 hp on the rear, and with -2/+3 tooth and quickshifter I have overtaken even 2012 blades purely on the straights... And im not even thin at all (100kg)...
