G'day,

Just picked up a 08 CBR1000RR.

Started looking into insurance and most companies have two sub models to choose from

2008 HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE 6 SPORTS
2008 HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE 8 SPORTS

Both are listed as 1.0L 6 Speed transmission.

I'd had a look on the bike and haven't be able to determine whether its a 6 or 8.

The manufacture date is 04/08

Does anyone know how to identify the sub model?

There are only two "models" that I'm aware of, RR8A with and RR8 without ABS.

see the screenshots, thats the choice the insurer gives

No idea, so I would suggest contacting the insurer and find out exactly which one they want - that way you're covered regardless.
Are you taking out a policy or just getting a quote?
If it's just for a quote go with both options, there may not be any difference at the end of it.

I'm interested in taking out the AAMI policy, there is a small difference in premium between the models. I will give them a call tomorrow.
