i had a restricted 500 GPZ once...
That was 2 washers (one for each air inlet). The restriction on the air intake redueced the power that the engine can produce. mine still reved out and hit a ton (just). Unrestricted it got an aditional 25-30 BHP but you could feel the difference until you got after 7000RPM. The top end wen to 125 - 130ish.
Ask a dealer how they restrict you model...
If it is the washers it took me 20mins to remove. remove the tank and pull the carbs out of the way!
other ways are electronically.... or with the exhaust (2 strokes more i think?)
