The RC51 didint have an HRC scheme in the US AMA the racing colors were the same as the production bike...

In WSBK Collin raced the Castrol colors..

The US SP1 and 02-03 Sp2 were the original HRC racing colors before sponsors took over the scheme for WSB! The non-US/CA models from 02 had the white and gray wings without the Castrol Green stickers on among other colors that evolved for the SP2.
The US 04 black tail silver number plate deviated from the original.
There was also a difference in wing shape and length between the US SP1/SP2!

If i recall correctly the stars and stripes paint job was a special for Colin Edwards when he raced at Laguna Seca

 

That was on an ugly Yamaha MotoGP machine and was done in support of his brother being a marine in Iraq, where Colin is a larger fan than Dolly Parton or Brooke Shields. Makes you wonder of this new generation of troopers! Eventually they will become all customers of Colin's Motorsports products and services, you watch!
Stars and stripes sell products for sponsors and pay Colin to be constantly 5th!

 

Bucko is right, the stars and stripes paintjob was a special for Edwards when he raced on Laguna Seca back in 2002.

I have a RC51-SP1 has QB performance on the dash, looks like there’s parts towards the front that a good amount of them have burns like it caught it fire but was fixed, whole body is carbon fiber and I mean all of it but it’s red and white, it has racing stickers all over it, it says painted by bonomos, but under all of it it’s pure carbon fiber, and although being a 2000, it has a black frame and swing arm and near the shifter and rear brake lever it reads pro Mach engineering , had a seat with the tag Corbin on it, bike goes 190 for sure, I’m almost sure I could push it a little past that. Idk what all this means honestly, bike got given to me in a local trade
