Hey guys, so I turned 18 a coupe months ago and decided I wanted to finally buy myself a sport bike. Didn't really have one in mind so I just started browsing with $1,500 in my pocket. Found a bike in Washington that had been "laid down" (meaning the guy drove it off a 25 foot cliff and shattered both his ankles). So I drove 6 hours to pick up my slightly used 2003 CBR F4i :idunno: So far what needs replacing is the subframe, exhaust pipe, headlight, some switches, and of course an entire new fairing kit. As of right now, however, I can't start it because the kill switch wires were severed in the wreck. So all I have to work with is about 3 inches of wire coming from the ignition switch and that is literally all there is to my kill switch. I cannot find where the rest of the wire is or where it should be or where it should lead to. So I need to know where in the hell these two little wires go to. I can't download a service manual because all I have is my phone- no computer. Any help would be great, if I can figure out how to post pics from my phone I will!

Use postimage.com or org? Its quick no sign up upload it copy paste url. Done!
That's how I upload my pics here from my phone.
25ft cliff? Did u inspect the frame and the engine and motor mounts wheels.
1500$ and flew off a cliff. Or did the rider only go off the cliff. Here the 600f4i are bout 1500-2000 for decent looking driving ready ride home bike.

Have you looked thru the 600 section of the site. Or use search button.

BTW I have 4 service manuals all over 350pgs downloaded to my phone. Find a pdf file most smart phones can read it. Better yet since you own a bike now Buy the manual worth EVERY penny.

Welcome to the forum.

Maybe you should go introduce yourself in the intro section. Some are upset bout people only join demanding answers to fix their bike and that's all they want. This is a community we don't mind helping but not be Used...

What does it do currently - dash lights, fuel pump primes, turns over on the starter motor but won't fire, or nothing at all?
You'll need to hold the bank angle sensor in position to get ignition.

Yes it is the kill switch, the rest of the ignition wires are intact. I know it's the kill switch because I put up the kickstand, stand the bike up straight, and it just turns over but does not fire. I'll have to look at the wires to see what color they are though. I have a picture of what they look like currently:

well most of the time the power wire going into the switch comes from the cdi and cuts the power to the coils and fuel cutoff relay

So you do have the bank angle sensor mounted somewhere then?

Alright soooo... it's not the kill switch I've figured that out haha. So right now I have the bank angle sensor connected and everything, the kickstand up, kill switch off, and it still won't fire. Should I start looking at fuses and spark plugs?

The fuel pump is priming?
Any codes flashing on the dash?
Have you checked for spark at the plugs?

I'm not going to be able to see any codes until I get a new cluster. The original is completely trashed. The only information it gives me is the Neutral light and my headlights.

No as a matter of fact the fuel pump is not priming...

Does the pump run if you short the fuel cut relay?
Is the bank angle sensor mounted up the right way?
Does the engine fire if you spray starter fluid into the throttle bodies?
