For all you Michael Moore fans this is a email I received the other day and thought I would share it. Enjoy!

From a soldier serving in the U.S.Army in Iraq comes these pinpoint accurate
facts.

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of
January.....

In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January.

That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn
country of Iraq.

When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the
following .

FDR...led us into World War II.

Germany never attacked us: Japan did.

From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman...finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never
attacked us.

From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.

John F. Kennedy...started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never
attacked us.

Johnson...turned Vietnam into a quagmire.

From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never
attacked us.

He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and
did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has
...liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put
nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and
captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...It
took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch
Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time
than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy
the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police
after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in
Florida!!!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB! The Military morale is high!

The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

Wait, there's more.......................

JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 11:13 Some people
still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living.
This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is
worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's
also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the
armed services do what they do for a living. This IS a typical, though sad,
example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've
never held a real job?"

Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I
served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by
anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It
wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a
nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to
the bank. I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day... to a
veteran's hospital and look those men - with their mangled bodies - in the
eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with me to the Space
Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed
White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye
and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job. You go with me on Memorial
Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends
buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags. You
stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those
people didn't have a job? I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum; you should be on
your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men

- SOME MEN - who held REAL jobs. And they required a dedication to a purpose

- and a love of country and a dedication to duty - that was more important
than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country
possible. I HAVE held a job, Howard! What about you?"

For those who don't remember - During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an
attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA.

Now he is a Senator!

If you can read this, thank a teacher.... If you are reading it in English
thank a Veteran.

These are my favorite quotes from that "article".

"The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...It
took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch
Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation."

... and ...

"It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in
Florida!!!!"

So ... they are saying Iraq is conquered? The war is over? The troops are coming home? Obviously a complete and utter moron wrote that worthless piece of drivel.

we did topple the "elite" Iraqi army in a span of time unbelievable to even the troops on the ground.

And no, they are not saying Iraq is conquered. In military terms, we have "taken" iraq. We've shattered their "defense", we've toppled their gov't, we have their dictator in custody, and they have already begun assembling a new FREE gov't.

Only thing missing now is the minister of (dis)Information telling us there are no coalition troops there and that they are in control! :rotfl:

So we, the most powerful nation in the world, managed to beat down a third rate army in a third world country that had never really recovered from Desert Storm (a war I proudly served nine hot months in)? Man! What a fucking accomplishment!

I guess it's like Bush said all those months ago - mission accomplished. :hmm:

I watched F-9/11 with an open mind, and found it boring....not the least bit provocative..... :idunno:

The only facet I found remotely interesting was the dynamic of how Moore tapped into the need for "conspiracy" that many people have.....and used it for his own profit...

I totally disagreed with his assertions in the film, but was awed at the amount of cash he pulled in without once paying homage to the lives of those that layed those freedoms at his feet....

I intend to watch FarenHype as I did Farenheit 9/11. Thought it was funny that one of the reviews in your link stated "counter-acting Michael Moore's lies with this movie's lies (FarenHYPE), is worse." (or something like that) What an outstanding review! :rotfl: I'll judge for myself.

To those who can't even stomach watching Farenheit 9/11, why? Are you not mature enough to watch it and determine whether some points have merit? To just put your hands over your eyes and ears doesn't seem open minded.

Points that I'd like to have Farenhype clear up (in regards to points made by Moore);

1. We know 140 Saudi's were secretly flown out of the US on Sept. 13th, Why? Who authorized the evacuation without as much as questioning the BinLaden relatives as to the where abouts of Osama before vanishing back into Suadi Arabia? (it's now known that the majority of terrorist in 9/11 were from Suadi Arabia)

2. Does the Bush family have a very large investments in the Carlyle Group? Did Bush Sr. earn 1.4 Billion dollars with partners including Suadia Arabia (investing on building military Bradleys)? Is this why we "excused" the 140 Suadis? Did Suadi ever bail out young business man George Bush in his early oil days? Why? Did the Bin Laden family actually visit Texas to meet with Bush? (Obviously, not every BinLaden is a terrorist, but may answer why Bush let them fly out of the US while closed down).

3. Did the US military detain/imprison every male Iraqi for months upon months because we had no interpreters and couldn't read any of their language/identification papers to tell whether they were for or against our presence? If so, doesn't sound like good military planning to overtake and police a nation without anyone knowing how to communicate with any of them.

4. Do military recruiters prey on the low income/jobless? I think that one is obvious.

5. Exactly how many Congressman have their sons or daughters in Iraq?

6. Will our "all voluntary" military be depleted soon? Are recruitments at a all time low? Servicemen (and women) and reserves are already serving past their initial terms. Who will replace those who eventually are allowed to finally end their service agreement, when recruiters are finding it difficult to recruit new soldiers?

7. Given the Bush family's own oil investments/history and the Suadi business partners, was there any decisions linked directly with Iraq's oil reserves?

Those are some of the quick points I recall from Moore's movie/documentary.

Basically it come down to this, again, these are Moore's points or questions;

Was 9/11 handled poorly? Was there a huge neglect on intelligence that we received, warning us that BinLaden had a plan involving air liners crashing into US targets (August 6th 2001 PDP).

Does the Bush family have ANY special relations and or personal investments with Suadia Arabia that might be considered "conflict of interest" in regards to decisions made as the President of the United States (National Security).

That's what it boils down to. I don't care how long Bush stared at the kids after being told the nation was under attack. I do care if there are personal investments that lead to certain decisions/favors. And, I do care if the President can't even meet with the 911 Commission (who he tried to stop the creation of) without bringing the real decision maker, Mr. Vice President, with him and meeting in a 3 hour private session. What National Security matters or blunders were they afraid of getting out to the public? Watch the film and look at Bush's facial expressions after coming out of that private session. To say he looked frazzled and confused would be an understatement.

Good Republican reply Bake  , but, what exactly are the horrifying points Moore brought up in his movie that makes Republicans so outraged?

Why did Bush(y) allow those Suadi's to leave? Simple question

Does the Bush family have personal relations with Suadi Arabia? Simple question

Did the President have any knowledge of a possible threat to be carried out by BinLaden? Simple question

Now I'll admit there's some hatred between both men, but the questions that are brought up are interesting.

We were already asking the same questions before Moore even started filming, so why is he so wrong to point out the same questions?
