Some friends of mine are a Lucas dealer.

They're pushing me hard to switch to their oil in my truck, because they think it's better. (They'll sell it to me at their cost, so it's not that!)

I've been an Amsoil fan for a long time now, I think it's hard to beat from a price/availability perspective.

Lucas' marketing has always made it look like snake oil to me. But they're insistent that it's the best stuff out there.

Anyone out there have info or links like phobe had on that air filter testing? :allears:

I've been wondering the exact same thing. I haven't heard much about their products but I did bite the bullet and try their injector cleaner/top end lube or whatever it's called, for the Camaro. I got about 10 miles into that tank when "you know what" happened. :crying: I'll report back when I can burn up that tank.

where I work, we sell a lot of the Lucas brand oil and fuel stabilizer. It has a very big following of loyal fans. I have not seem, however, just a plain oil put out by Lucas. Only the additive/stabilizers. IMO Amsoil is a great choice. And I would never add anything to a synthetic oil.

Lucas most certainly makes "real" oil.

I'm not talking about additives.
