Um, you have a very unique blade. Interested to know if those are 929 wheels? The front disks, as they look like Brembo carriers?? but disk portion looks like it's on backwards? The rotation of the holes is off, no? Anyhow, the paint is great but not my taste (but as you said it's yours not mine), and looks really clean. Looks well done. :thumb: from me

I can't say if it's "wrong", it just gave me the impression of being, well, not what I thought it would be. This is what I had in mind when I saw your rotors, as far as how the holes should look (see the rotational arrow). Anyway, cool with the wheels, that means 17" front. Still, great ride. :thumb:

No offence taken. I will have a look at the weekend to see if there is an arrow on them for rotation. I know they probably haven't. But unless there is an arrow or a makers name on them I don't see how I am going to prove which way they should go.
I'm fairly sure the steel rotor itself won't have a directional arrow on it. The carrier that bolts to the wheel is obviously on properly, as swapping the whole unit to the other side of the wheel won't make a difference. As I looked at the photo I wondered to myself how/why then the previous owner may have replaced the steel portion, and then went and put it on backwards. The only drawback that I can see would be the way the holes distribute brake dust, that's about it.

In any event, glad I didn't offend, no intention there. I love old 900's and yours is a beaut.

I just had another though (I know, questionable lol), but maybe the PO put the wheel on the forks backwards? Check the front tire for the directional arrow. Maybe the tire was mounted on the rim the wrong way and the disks are actually on right? The rim should have an arrow on one of the spokes somewhere?:idunno:

Honda has a repair kit for that connector. It's called the ACG kit (Alternating Current Generator). Typical failure for the CBR's. It doesn't matter which yellow goes to which yellow. Glad it smoked that connector and not the reg rec. Good pics for reference too.
