Had been considering buying a fairing kit for a good while, I decided to order a cowl in the meantime, the finish on it is atrocious!!!!

Not even close to the shade of yellow it should be, its fookin dark mustard, runs all over it and over spray speckles of white.

Haven't even attempted to fit it yet to even check if it's worth spending the extra money to spray it myself, but not expecting an easy fit.

My experiences of Neverland? Thank fook I didn't order a fairing kit!!! Never buy anything from these con merchants.........you have been warned

if i bought a fairing set id def look elsewhere than where you bought the cowl. however cowls are a mass produced kind of item thats pumped out for sale on ebay etc etc. there are several good companies that make aftermarket fairing kits. a lot of them will send good pictures of the kit you order after they finish it for approval before its shipped. still probably gonna run into some color differences. some will paint to the color code of your choice if you can find that information.

if you do decide to buy one def do some research on who you buy from. there are several threads here about various sellers and their quality.

sorry you got burned on the cowl but i think its a bad piece to use as any kind of reference point on aftermarket fairings as a whole. hopefully you didnt spend too much on it. itd probably cost more to return it than its worth but get in contact with them n let them know its defective based on the white overspray on it. im sure they dont claim it to be a factory color match but if it had overspray of another color and runs on itd want my money back too. id expect them to foot the return shipping as well.

I understand it isn't a factory colour match but 20 shades of difference is unacceptable, bright yellow isn't that difficult to come close to.

Also, I didn't say all fairing kit companies, just Neverland, if they can't manage a simple cowl without runs and over spray from a different paint then I would not want to see a full fairing kit from them. I'm sure there are some companies that produce much better quality, it wouldn't be hard compared to this.

I don't care about factory matched colour as long as it would be consistent over a full kit, but if selling separate parts it is not that hard to get at least close to matching, they do have access to paint codes like the rest of us!

It's not the money, it was cheap enough, it's the complete misrepresentation that pisses me off, Chinese crap!

Incidentally, aren't the majority of other domestic companies just importers from China? Or are there any independent reputable and consistent companies in Europe or the US?

How are you lost? I bought a seat cowl from them, it was crap.......
oh. gotcha. I'd never heard of "Neverland" (except for Peter Pan) and didn't get the reference... not trying to pick a fight.

im fairly certain pretty much all the aftermarket kits originate from one of only a few chinese companies in general. some finished there n some finished by various companies selling them in the us/uk etc etc. im sure there are exceptions. i know there are a few us/uk companies that actually build and paint the fairings but those are as expensive or more than oem.

auctmarts web site or ebay store is a pretty reputable company a lot of people use. ive heard some mixed reviews on over all quality but most reviews ive seen concerning them have been good.

a us company Motorcycle Fairing Kits | Sportbike Customs | Parts, HIDs, Fairing Bolts, Race Fairings, & Carbon Fiber | ABSFairings.com ive heard good things about. better quality plastics and they are finished to order in the us where im sure quality control is much better. they cost a little more but i would think you get a better product. abs will paint any scheme or color you want for no additional cost. auctmarts has a wider selection of schemes listed and im pretty sure they also will do custom colors/schemes at no additional cost but personally i would trust a us vendor more as far as matching the oem color.

Cheers mate, I'm going to price a proper spray job on the fairing versus an aftermarket fairing kit. I'd be pissed off if it was as bad as the paint on the cowling

Would love this paint scheme on mine:

I bought a full set recently off eBay for around £260 delivered, the paint is OK, the colour is more VW Silver than Honda Beige, however I've painted the tank to match so that doesn't matter. The fit is very good and looks very OEM, for the price I'm impressed.

With regard to colour I recon they use any paint that's lying around, so if you want to match up with your OEM panels forget it.
