Hey Bladers,
I desperately need to change the chain on my 1993 900rr! But I'm a little confused on what to look for. I would like a gold chain and thats about all I know for sure. I keep seeing on ebay "520 chain sprocket conversion", arn't the 900rr's already stock with this setup? Ugghhh! Any help bladers would be great!

520 is one tooth down in front sprocket and two up in the rear from your stock setup. gearing is changed and it will give u a nice acceleration boost. one of the better mods u can do to your bike.
Sorry, but you're 100% wrong here.

520 is the size of the chain. The units are 1/8 of an inch.

5 is the distance between chain rollers, so 5/8 of an inch from one roller to the next (also known as length of the link).
20 is the width of the chain, means 2.0, so 2/8 = 1/4 of an inch wide.

The gearing is completely independent of the chain size. A narrower chain is lighter, so you get very slightly better performance - but not worth it on the street IMO.
