I'm in love, I thought my white CBR was one of the nicest colours to have, but I NEED the new Castrol colours!

Stuff the Hannspree stuff!

Anyone know where to get these front? I see cbrfairings.com have something similar, but not quite the same finish...

I am also after a set of these for my 2008 white blade

I have realised you need a white upper fairing - saw one on ebay from China for about £100 (new they are £250 from Honda)

Have been in contact with a decal company here in the UK - they have not done a kit yet - but estimate £200 - £250 FITTED

If a few of us want one, then maybe we can get the target price down - I'd want it as close to the bike as possible.

At least in vinyl it can be removed when you sell the bike, unlike a £950 paint job.

Being serious, who is DEFIANTLY interested in a set at that price? I've been looking on ebay for a kit - from those who sell them for £20 - £30 but doubt it will be upto it - have been told 'its a few weeks away'
Sure the non-fitted price would be a bit lower.

Have also located Castrol wheel rim stickers to go with it - so you can tell I've been looking into this!

That is not official - its a 'dream machine' paint job a couple of main dealers have paid for, applied to brand new bikes.
Guess Honda may / may not try and do one in the future
I am also tempted to just wait for China to make a set up - esp now those pics are there as a guide - keeps originals intact for resale.

you could also get real good at racing and become a member of that WSBK race team!! :)

you would get the real fairings on your race bike and get paid to race in a top race series!! :D

but it looks like the Castrol bikes bring out oil leak situations....:(

Saw one of the Dream machine painted Castrol bikes today at HUnts in Manchester - it really looks smart, but I think it needs white wheels with red rim tape to finish it off.

The bike looks stunning - they have sold a few already with just one left, and price is cracking as well - same as new one.

If I was looking to buy a blade its the one I'd get and Hunts will delivery in the UK - ask for John if interested.

Needs tail tidy, rear pegs off, slip-on silencer and white wheels IMHO.

I have found the decal set!!!

Just released, much cheaper than new fairings or a paint job.

Think the order is going in tonight - need to find wheel stickers, red rim tape to complete the look

Does not look like the stickers for the tank have the cut out for the Honda badge, not the fairing fixings, so need to work out how to cut them out properly (any ideas? - thinking craft knife and a school geometry kit to scribe radius required)

Looking at the white upper fairing from China as the stickers on my black one will look poor - but its not cheap but an option.

Anyhow - here is what you are looking for...

A sharp craft-knife is a definite but you need to make sure you put something underneath the sticker so that you don't get stuck (I don't mean stuck in the thumb... I mean the knife getting stuck and not cutting smoothly) while you are cutting. Maybe a wood cutting board???:idunno:

Sounds like if you contact them to tell them it is for a 2008 blade Al, they will make the kit accordingly so the cut outs should be there.

I would contact them and ask.

You gonna get your existing fairings done plain white ??

I am thinking of getting a complete set of fairings in pearl white from China for £350 plus shipping (and prob. import duty)
For £50 its worth trying that decal kit, see how good it looks - if its poor remove them and have the place in Derbyshire make up and fit an exact kit for £200 - £250
My bike is 3 years old - not spent much on it so a bit of investment to freshen it up is in order. Its on a private plate so that hides its age well.

I'd not want to mess up my original fairings as for re-sale it makes everyone ask questions. If I buy a set from China I can always re-sell, and if I don't lacqure over the sticker kit can remove them and have a plain white set of fairings to sell which will always be worth a fair bit of money as a 'base' for anyone to use for a paintjob / sticker set.

Somebody would always take them off your hands for track days fairings, with decals or not anyway.

My mate who made you up the Honda stickers uses surgical scalpels at work for fitting and trimming vinyl. That would be what you need for any cutting.

I'll ask him if he knows where they buy them from :thumb:

Great work in finding the decals AlBlade. I too want to change my bike to the new Castrol Honda. I was leaning towards the buying the painted farings. Let us know how the decals fit and dont forget the pictures.
