Just got my February issue of euro-mag Performance Bike and it has a juicy 16-page pullout special on the launch of the new Fireblade and ZX-10R. Very nice. Listen to some of the things they say about the new Honda:

"...the Blade is going to be the best-selling bike next year. If it doesn't win every group test under the sun I'll eat these words. It is a superb machine. The problem is, and this will sound weird, it doesn't scare the crap out of you."

"...the best way to describe the Blade's power delivery is just like a GSX-R1000 that's been filled in and polished to a mirror finish. It's perfect. Flawless."

"...The Blade really is the best bike I've ridden for years. It's also the hardest thing I've written about. It's refinement in the extreme. The bike's so good I actually forgot to pay attention to it for a whole session - like riding a bike you've owned for years. You just get on it and go."

"...The Blade has an awesome engine, but one that's so perfect in its delivery it's almost boring. The bike handles like a dream, with one exception - when you load the front. Everything else associated with making it go and stop works to the point that it's almost a waste of time developing new models because they can't get any better. It is, without a doubt, the most featureless, uneventful bike I've ridden in a long time, but I love it. Mine's a red one."

Both Performance Bike and Roadracing World were very impressed with the power of the ZX-10R, but both had problems with the shifting.

Oh yeah, they also said that the bodywork on the Blade looks better in person than in photos (sort of like what people say about the Ducati 999).
