Had my 02 954 for just over 2 months when I wrecked. No one really knows what happened and I don't remember much. I'm pretty sure I over ran my headlights and paniced and hit the brakes and focused on stopping instead of riding through the curve.
She was a beautiful Silver and black before the wreck.
Looked pretty rough after the wreck
now, she is 1996 Mustang Cobra White with a slight blue pearl. The pearl is really fine and you have to be within two feet to see it in the sun, but it does stand out at that range and looks great.

Trying to decide if I should put stripes around the wheels and if so, what color......any suggestions? I like white, but afraid it would be too much white. For now, no graphics at all. I may change my mind at a later date. I am open to stealing your ideas......I mean borrowing your suggestions. :smilebig:

Glad your okay, your bike in the first pic looks really nice. Very minimal, clean. I say it looks nice the way it is. The white wheels might over do it a little. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will look nice! :thumb:

By the way, Good job on putting humpty dumpty back together! Any before after pics?

Too much white? I think you should powder coat the wheels completely, after you ad some color to the skins. Just my thought. With solid white skin, it almost looks tracked only. Not very street apealing. I hope my opinion isn't too abrasive.
Say, did you get your color idea from your 4 wheeled stable mate?

Thanks guys. I chose white to keep the wife happy. She didn't want me riding again but I talked her into it and I said I would have the bike painted a bright color. So yes, the Mustang is where I got the color code. ha ha

I didn't think about powder coating the wheels white but I may go that route. I'll think about it. I do like the idea about the Red pin on the wheels.

Great feedback guys I appreciate it. I'm still tweaking her.........

I would leave the wheels alone. If you pin stripe them it will look too much. I recommend you find black 954 factory decals. The white is nice but with the 954 lines it just looks like something is missing. Like an empty canvas.

I went the white route on my ZX6R, also after an accident.

With white body and rim tape. No decals. Looked too "custom" to me.

With black factory decals and no rim tape. Looks cleaner and more factory-ish.
