i just bought my 929 i worked hard to get it before bike week and now this.
has brand new gas
spark plugs were wet when removed
it has spark
has strong gas smell coming from pipe while trying to start
fuel pump cycles when turned on

sometimes pops seeming to try to start
please please help

Fuel pressure regulator.
Pull the vacuum line and make sure fuel doesn't come through it.

is this the thin line on bottom of fuel pump?

No, that's the fuel return line.
The fuel pressure regulator is on the end of the fuel rail.
Part #20.
The vacuum line is on the pipe indicated by the code "E-18-1".

ok now time for an oil change since i got her last night and i dont know the history any suggestions beyond mfrgs rec? it is also over full with oil>

High oil level is another indicator of a bad fuel pressure regulator but you checked that already?
