Sup y'all,

I'm getting my rims PC'd white, and was wondering if I have to remove the wheel bearings prior. And if so, then I may as well put new bearings in? The bike has ~15.2k miles on her...

How much are front & rear bearings, anyway?

Thanks!

I would say they should block off the axle hole on the rim before coating it because you don't want anything getting in there anyway but I'd err onthe cautious side and take them out and since they're out put new ones in because it won't hurt. Always easier to do it now with the rims off when you don't have to then later when you have to.

Yeah I powder coated/polished my rims a few months ago and due to the high temps of the baking process you have to remove everything and I for safety's sake put all new bearings and seals in them. Good luck with it, ill try to get around to posting some pics of mine. Rubber side down
