I bought my bike in March 2009 but it is a 2008 model.

I'm looking at Power Commanders and would prefer the PCV rather than the PCIII but it only lists the 2009 and 2010 models for the PCV. Both of which are different model numbers (2009 = 16-002, 2010 = 16-017). I didn't think there was any difference in bikes from 2008 to 2009 except for the rear indicators? Not sure about the 2010 bike.

1) Will a PCV 16-002 (2009) fit my bike?
2) My bike still has the standard exhaust. Will I still see a benefit from fitting a PC?

yes it will fit and yes you will see a good performance increase...a pipe will make it even better and maybe an air filter but the throttle response and power throughout the whole power band will be improved...i know this because i did the same thing but then i got the pipe and the air filter is gettinng fitted next week...GL

they do have retro fit options for many of the older bikes...check out Fuel Moto USA this is a large tuning facility that does ALL power commander stuff and thery have ways to get the PCV on many of the older bikes...they usually have really good pricing too and offer a free extended waranty for the PC and a free map from their database which is i guess diff from dynojet...i went through this place for my R6 PC3 but t he map they gave me i didnt really like and ended up switching to a diff one that seeemed to have much more power...
