Sorry for the really silly question, I did several searches but maybe wasn't hitting the right keys...

Anyways, we're in the process of putting a full hindle System on the bike as I type.

I need to know what to do with the HTEV valve to avoid the FI light to come on. I read something about the disconnecting the servo cables at the seat and making sure that the servo doesn't move. :(

It seems that doesn't provide me with much information. :( Can anyone explain this in terms that a 929 noob can understand? Ie, I need you to hold my hand and talk to me like I'm two. :rotfl:

**edit found the PC3R install info. :)

Thank you so much. Any help GREATLY appreciated....it's late, I have track day on sunday and I just want to get done.... :(

thanks guys!!1 :thumb: :thumb:

As far as the HTEV cables go you just loosen the cables at the htev and then remove them from the servo under the tank. The servo will still move though when the bike is running so the computer thinks everything is okay.

The PC3r is really easy if you have small hands. All the connectors are on the right side of the bike in the area behind the oil fill plug. Getting the connectors apart is a PITA.

Okay...so the night ended in failure for us.... :(

The Hindle header turned out not to fit at all...this is really strange. We lined the two headers up. I bought it used off of someone my shop deals with all the time.

Anyways to make a long story short...I'm not at work and do not have access to any of the service fiches...

We hooked the stock exhaust back up. Something got messed up with the HTEV cable routing AT THE EXHAUST...I'm getting really bad hestation now at anything above three thousand RPM. I can't even ride her...Lots of stuttering and missing. I left the cables at the tank unmolested. ONLY THE ONES at the exhaust.

Before I take another crack at her, can anyone explain to me exactly what this HTEV does? Or better yet....anyone have diagram to the cable routing and psitioning.

FI light and the big bad red one stays lit solid.... :( I have track day in 18 hours and I'm going insane here.....

Thanks a lot, much appreciated!!!

Will get on it right now. I'm trying to remeber which cable goes into which pulley though. Is there are any chance that we got the cable s mixed up?

Would the bike run like this?

If we get this thing running, I'll be sure to post some pics from my first track day on the 929... :)

Thanks very much....

Bike is up and running normally now....it's funny how one day of downtime on the bike is like slow torture.

Anyways, although the bike runs great (back to stock didn't get the exhaust or PC3 on) I'm still getting the FI and Red light to come on....

I need to reset my computer. Anyone have that part of the maunal scanned? :) Hopefully this will solve the problem.

thanks guys! 12 hours to kickoff!!!! :)

One more thing, figured out why the header didn't fit at all....the dood forgot to mention that it was Works pipe and would not fit on a stock street bike at all. Reservoir tank and oil filter was in the way..... :nono:
