regulator problem

i have a 96 cbr 900 rt with a bad regulator ...part sh693-12 can i install a sh522-12 .i know they have different color wires ..does anyone have a wiring diagram or done this

Unless you tell us what the regulator is off then I can't see how anybody can help you with a wiring diagram for it...

its supposed to be off a 95 cbr 900 when i look up the numbers it said kawi ..do theyellow wires matter and then whats the other 2 pos and neg ..if thats how it is when i say dosent matter i mean the book says for stator test ohm out all the yellow wires,,my bike is a 96 cbr 900 rt....

The yellows are each of the stator windings and are all the same. The other wires should be the same as the old reg but I don't have a wiring diagram for the early 900RR's.
