Balut. Haven't tried it but I know people that eat them like popcorn. They were on Fear Factor a couple times. Thousand year eggs were on there too.

But this statement just reinforces TB's initial query.

Pickles don't taste like cucumbers because they spend time surrounded by a salty brine which permeates the cucumber making it taste like the brine itself.

So, using that fact, an egg being surrounded by chicken should be permeated with chicken flavor.

How someone decided to eat Balut the first time....it's one of those things I just can't get my mind around. And then after eating it once...doing it again?!!
