I've been spending lots of bling this month....I just ordered the rear seat cowl from ron ayers. Anyone order from him, and how long did shipping take? I was very impatient with my ohlins, and I'd like to get another box as soon as possible.

I ordered right side OEM plastics for my 929 from them about a month ago and got them within a week of placing my order. Great people to deal with IMO.

I got my cowl pretty quick - within a week. I love that place. I don't really bother going to my dealer anymore. They never have what I'm looking for in stock so, if I have to wait for something to be shipped anyway, I might as well get it for the best price.

Sounds like someone needs to unwind a little

I just ordered some parts from them for the clutch on my 2000 929. I asked if I could get 2 day shipping and they told me it would cost me $60 - $100, because the parts would have to be overnighted from Honda and then 2nd day to me.

I know it is a little more expensive to honor my request, but that is ridiculous and more than a little offensive. In addition, the woman I talked with was kind of rude.

It was the first time I ordered from Ron Ayers. I was told that normal shipping would take 7 - 10 days (they did not mention if that time was business or calendar days; typically it is business days). I get better service from a local Honda dealer, whom I don't even like and does not have a very good reputation. Why would I buy from Ron Ayers - their prices are only slightly better!

By the way, I will be cancelling my order. I hope someone from that company reads this.

They don't stock every part, so it takes time to get it to them, then back out to you.

If your dealer is giving you prices anywhere near theirs, and has the parts in stock, then I'd say go for it. But, my dealer prices are INSANE compared to Ron Ayers.
