Hey all - just got my first Fireblade and while I love the bike overall, it may be the most uncomfortable bike I've ever ridden. I've had F4i's, R6's, and SV1000's and have also ridden R1s, Gixxers and Busas. I wonder if the Sato rear set the previous owner installed is the issue. From what I can tell, the lowest position it will go is 10mm up and back as compared to stock rear sets.

Does anyone have any experience with Sato for Fireblades? Would anyone happen to know the height of the stock peg from the ground with the bike standing up so I could compare to these Sato sets? Thanks for any help you can give me - I love the bike but I need to fix this or long trips are out for me and that would be a shame =(

Hi Carlos.

I see you have one response on another forum, but if this helps, I've tried to replicate your pic with my bike.

I note yours is a 2006 or 2007; mine is 2004 but with same stock peg position.

Thanks! I'm unable to open your image in larger format because I keep being prompted to log in but your pegs definitely look lower than mine. I checked Sato's site and they say the lowest position is 10mm higher than stock but that's tiny whereas your image looks closer to an inch lower? If you can open my images, could you compare quickly? Thanks for your help!!

Closer to 20mm than 10. And the stock pegs are flat across the top which also has to be taken into account.
