I got up to go to work the other morning and the mercury told me it was cold. 18⁰ F cold (that is -7⁰ for you Celsius guys):smilebig:. It is time to tuck the mistress in for her winter hibernation. I do love the fat old girl so she gets the royal treatment as it is time for her spa treatment, all the plastic comes off she gets a good scrub, polish, replace anything that looks worn and hit everything with the torque wrench. She is getting new powder coat on the wheels this year and I am looking at a new set of plastics. (she will still stay a red head no fake blonds for me just some highlights maybe) any ways she hits the lift this weekend and that will be the close of the riding season. Which brings me to the depression part and I was hoping that all of you that live in the warmer climates or those that live in the southern hemisphere, as you are coming into summer, might help a brother out. The winter is tough for me as I hate the cold, my wife won’t let me leave New Hampshire, and I am back in the cage. I hate the cage!! :pissed2: So please post up the rides you are on. Tell me and those of us that live in the great white north every gory detail include some pic.’s and vid. if you could. As I and others like me must live vicariously through you.

Ah.... Last Moto GP of the season, no more WSB or British Superbike, no more autojumbles, freezing cold in the workshop, (cant afford the heaters any more since the Power companies jacked up their prices). Into misery and hibernation mode 'till next April.

Hi guys. :D
I get to ride all year around here. I just got back from running a bunch of errands, stopped in to see my buddy at his shop, stopped at Trader Joes to get some eggs and dishsoap, then rode home, sharing lanes on all the crowded surface streets and watching all those cagers stuck behind one another while I went slicing in between.

This picture was taken two fridays ago. Mosquito Ridge just outside of Forresthill CA.

What are your temps in the winter jon?!?! We have nights that will get down into the low 30's, sometimes even the high 20's. During the day it'll usually shoot back up to at least 50, but not always =( I know today was one of the first really cold ones of the season with a high of about 65F and currently (9pm) 57F (feels like 48). That's terribad for me to ride in, but I suck it up an do what I have to do =P

Trying to figure out if full leathers would make it seem any warmer....

You don't want to know. I'm in Northern Ca. as well and ride year round. The only cold I know are the spots that occur in the canyons and the one that rolls around when the bar closes at 2:00 A.M. My bikes have always enjoyed that cool morning air.

I hear you, I think we're only going to hit 70 today!:evilaugh: Don't worry, I'll stop gloating when summer arrives and it's 110.
