Well, it's official, my 2000 Honda Prelude sold last week:(

I bought the car stock and did a "few" things to it. It was by far the BEST car I have EVER owned and I will be very sad to see it leave.

However, things are looking up, I now get to ride the bike as much as I want:p I have no second car and I am back to riding at least 40 kms everyday:clap: . I figure that I have all that money tied up in the bike I may as well ride the damn thing:idunno:

anyways I just wanted to share this little bit of sad news...

I am hoping to pick up an older pickup to haul the dog, bike and girlfriend around in, low maintinence, low insurance and decent mileage as I will be getting a "mini" truck(Albeit likely a 4x4) or an older integra like my old 91 hatch?

anyways, here are a couple of pics for those who liked the car:thumb:

as it sat, 18 inch rims, intake, custom made stainles exhaust, 3000 watt stereo(not just some bass machine either) factory JDM leather seats and lowered 1.5-1.75 inches. The car had SO much potential. I will miss it a LOT

Bummer. :nopity:

Mind if I ask how much? I've always loved those 5th gen Ludes. Always wanted an SH.

Mini 4x4s are fun as hell. :thumb: I miss my old Dodge (Mitsubishi) D50.

I did alright... I bought it for $14,500 a year and a half ago and sold it with an extra 40,000kms on it plus the rims and seats which barley cost me $1400 for 17K

I had to let it go for that price:idunno: Mind you I did really maintain that car and it was in MINT shape.

Besides the guys parents were in IT(or something like that) and were buying it for him? happy birthday or what:rolleyes:

Hahahaha... a reach around... nice... not likely.

I have done pretty well on my used cars? I don't know how I have managed but, I've done alright.

Gotta love hondas resale:clap:
you should have seen the deal I made on the jeep I sold 2 cars ago:rotfl: I sold it for 4K more than any other one in the trader cause the guy did not want to drive 45 minutes:thumb: gotta love lazy people. $12,500 for a 98 cherokee sport 2 years ago is not bad:p

Nice job with making money on it.

In case you don't know, "mini" 4x4's typically get atrocious milage.

No, but much closer than you'd expect.

In typical mixed driving, especially the older "minis", like Toyos and Nissans, S10s and Rangers will not get over 16-17 or so. My 2WD full size chevy with a 5.3 got better milage than my Nissan 4x4. My DMax 2500 4x4 also gets better milage than the Nissan got.

The 2WD minis do much much better.

Yeah I was looking around at a bunch of them and I would be back to getting the same kind of mileage that the lude got(VERY poor) I am still in the process of "looking" but I really doubt that anything will end up in the lane too much before the middle of september? I really just want to ride this year?.

that is unless of course something I like falls into my lap?

As for the EL, how much you looking to get for it and is it a stick?

try some of the sites I listed on
Toronto prelude club
Toronto civic club
Toronto integra club
Vitalmotion disscusion board

Just to name a few. Worked for me

True dat. My D50 with a 2.6L 4 banger (with a badly dragging tranny output bearing) and 31 inch tires would get 22-23. Thing was though, on those trucks you had manual hubs, so if you ran in 2WD with the hubs unlocked you weren't having to turn a bunch of useless mass like on the new ones.

A 2WD mini truck is also easier to load a bike into. :D

I sold my '99 prelude about 2 years ago. It looked nearly exactly like yours without the rims. Actually, now that I think about it, we've talked about this before! I was so sad to see mine go too.

I got rid of it for a 2002 Dodge Ram QC 4.7L V8. Now I hate this @#$!ing thing. Around town I've been averaging something like 12.8 mpg. At 65$ to fill up a tank and all... I don't think I'll ever own another car that is more fun than that damn Lude but still averages 27 mpg despite hanging out at 5k rpm!

When I valet-ed last summer, I got to drive a couple of them and I could have cried! They were heavy and whatnot, but man were they a blast. Memories of girls making out in the backseat in high school. Oh well, sad to see another one go.

What do you think of that new Civic Si? 200 hp almost!

Sheep I am betting that it gets stolen before it has a chance to get smashed... he has already had 3 stolen and has no intentions of moving... :crap:

as for cars... if I was to pick up a replacement car... for the same money(Instead of way downgrading) I would be seriously looking at an Integra type R, RSX type S, Integra GS-R, or something like them, sporty fun hatchback. All kinds of room for my stereo under the floor in the back, seats fold flat and open the inside right up so you have room for ANYTHING.

The main reason I got rid of it, there was just no ROOM...If it was a six speed hatch I would have kept it forever... And BTW How the hell did you fit in the back of that thing? :idunno: You must be either REALLY small or very creative:rotfl:
