I rode the 600RR around the block today, since it hasn't been ridden in a while. Now I have the undeniable urge to call my dealer Monday and see what kind of deal he can give me on trading my XX for a black 1000RR. :whine:

No reason to prevent yourself from doing what your heart really wants you to do. ;)

It's about time for you to reconfigure what's in your stable anyway, isn't it? :eyebrows: :D

Don't do it. The new 1000RR is a pile of junk. Thanks to certain omniscient trolls that have posted recently, we know that the clutch will disintegrate the second you try to ride the overweight underpowered piece of crap.
Just get the R1 and be done with it. You can ride your magical R1 down the yellow brick road to warm fuzzy bliss. :love:

Conq, you bought the XX to sport tour on right? I'd hate to see you sell that one too (along with that sweet 929 with all the mods you had). Think about it for a while.

Yeah, but I don't see myself doing that much anymore. Princess doesn't like to go for long rides, so we'd be trailering when going on trips...

I dunno... I'll see if I change my mind before Monday. Or, the dealer may change my mind for me, depending on the deal I can/can't get.

I've changed my mind on buying the 04. Well that and I'm between jobs, but a really good job is on the horison. But anyways I see it this way, since the numbers weren't as good as I thought they would be, and every part on the bike is new (nothing from the 954 or 929), I'll wait for the 2005. I feel that theres going to be at least a recall or two before the 05s come out, plus the paint shemes usually look better the second year (No offense to the 00' 02' owners). Wait it out Conq, 05 will already have plenty of aftermarket parts available, and you will see what kind of power you can get from bumping up compresion from members.

Buts thats just me. If I had the cash it would be hard not to get the 04. Don't rag on me, just trying to throw a few cons out there to make you at least think it through.

But you really can't go wrong with buying a Honda. :thumb:

I just read that Arata will have full exhaust system for the 1000RR on April 15th. Thats some good news. Plus PCIII is ready, so why not get it? No need for dampner, get Dan Kyle fork job, and ohlins rear shock and you'll have the hottest bike on the block. :smilebig:

Addition only... no subtraction. By all means get the 1000RR, just don't get rid of the XX. :nono: :smilebig:

You won't regret it. I drooled on the one sitting on my dealer's floor today (listed at $11,500 :sless: )

I would bet any amount of money (if I had it) that this is as good as a "done deal". Conq is just fishing for positive reinforcement from his support group! :D
