Anyone ever tried to braid their fuel line or get an aftermarket braided line for their 929? I've seen them for brake lines but I found a bad cut in my fuel feed line and I wanted to see if I could find one that don't get cut or bruised after awhile.

Do you know why your fuel line might be getting cut?

I'd be more worried about that.

I could guess, you might be pinching the lines when you're moving the tank around. I've seen some fuel lines with braiding. Make sure it is fuel pressure quality tubing on the inside. IIRC - these run fuel pressure at 50psi.

Good luck

A quick look online brings up several sellers. I'd imagine that you'd have to specify dimensions and end fittings though.

I wonder though if steel might be more susceptible to heat soak issues than rubber, which can expand allowing a higher fuel volume. Heat soak is a well known problem in piston aircraft, particularly certain fuel injected engines in certain installations and it makes restarting a hot engine a rain-dance to the God's with a chicken sacrifice a requirement.
