Looking at diff stabilizers really like ohlins products but just wondering ur opinions really aggressive driving the hesd is ok but at low speeds it is really loose which I can drive thru but know the mod will improve handling exponentially

A steering damper does not and will not improve the handling in any way at all.
It's entire purpose is to damp or hide oscillation in the steering.

The HESD damping rates depend on speed and acceleration. The reason it doesn't damp at low speed is because you don't need it to damp at low speed. And as mentioned, it won't do anything to improve handling.

U realize it doesn't ( improve ) but makes the response force needed to turn at a steady line rather than more for high speeds and less for low I like the consistency of it plus I don't trust theat the electronics will just one day have a problem may never happen but but I appreciate the intelligent response I shoulda been more clear that being said which do u prefer

I prefer the system that adapts to conditions, rather than being a "one size fits all". Having said that, the Scotts damper offers high and low speed damping (speed of bar movement, not speed of bike).

I don't think the "electronic" argument is that valid to be honest - it's not a vital component of the bike. There's more than can go wrong with the engine electronics that can disable the bike than the damper going off line. The argument might be more valid on a carb'd bike, but none of them had the HESD.

I have a Scotts damper on my and I can't say that I notice anything at all other than no more oscillations, which is what I bought it for. The thing I like about the Scott's is it has quite a bit of adjustability and can be dialed in pretty easily while riding if needed.
I think the only downside of the HESD is what Sky said, and we also saw that in the event that someone damages the ignition, as in an attempt to steal, it can also mess up the system.
The main concern that I've heard with the yoke mounted systems like the GPR or Scott's is that they are not as effective as the piston types like the Ohlins. Having only used the yoke style, I can't say one way or another.

Yeah I think I'm going with the ohlns don't really like the rotorary schematics thanks guys like I said I'm kinda ignorant to the workings of the parts and on my way to learning I can fly the bike just not a mechanic but see the value in learning for safety and ability to ride better after understanding what and why
