Alright, I've had my 929 for 2 years and now have the opportunity to get a really good deal on an 05 600rr. What do you guys think? My 929 has seen it all: road, track, rain, etc. My last 600 was an F2 about 3 years ago.
Thanks,
Avi

Ok, I've got some opinions but what are they based upon? One guy says he went 600rr and didn't go back and another says going for the 600rr is like driving a car. Yes, I still have the f4 but I just got it and it's set up for the track only. In a perfect world, I'd be able to have all these bikes but if I get the 600rr, I'll probably have to sell the 929 and that's the dilemma.

What is the 600RR for? Street or Track duty? Or both? I would think that is the ultimate deciding factor. If your content with the f4 for track duty... why switch?

The 600RR is a far better bike than the 929, especially if you intend to hit the track with it. I don't miss my 954 one bit any longer - well, except the paint job, but I'll do something with this 600RR to take care of that.

+1 I had a 954 and now an 04 600rr. The 954 was great, but I love the 600rr, especially on the track. I'd take the 600rr any day over the 929 or 954.

Hmm. I thought the 929 or 54 would have the edge on the track because they're almost as light and have more power. Is it the mass centralization thing that gives the 600rr the better stability that transfers to the track? Thanks a lot for the feedback you all.

Im assuming you have rode the 600rr a good bit? I havent had a chance to get on a track yet, but a couple of the guys i ride with have 600rrs (03 and 05). The 05 was sold recently, and i thought about pickin it up in place of my 929, but on the street i just like the 929 too much.

5 years newer is a lot of time though....i say go out and ride each back to back, and do what you want. thats why i kept the 929.
