So I got around to playing with my suspension and ran into an unforeseen issue. Apparently the previous owner cranked the dampening screw at he top of the fork all the way in and TIGHT. I can actually back off the spring pre-load with a screwdriver.

Any tricks to getting those loose?

Couple of suggestions for you maniac121. If you haven't damaged the slot, get the largest good screwdriver that will fit tight. Be sure you know which way to turn and hold the preload hex with a wrench. A light tap on the screwdriver may help. Something clamping the screwdriver for leverage may be nec. You usually only get one good attempt before the slot is damaged.
Good Luck!
