Hello there, I have a little problem with my Honda CBR 1000 RR. The temp reading shows dashes only all the time and not showing any numbers. I don't know the reason of that. Could any one advice me please how to fix it.

I tried to find the Temp sensor but couldn't.:idunno: Could show where does it locate.

Thanks alot

Hi the temp should always show '--' when temp is below 34deg, between 35 and 132deg it will show the temp. once it hits 122deg it will flash and the red light will come on. If it still not working over 34deg check the temp sensor, if its good check wires between the two units for continuity, if there good there is a prob with the lcd, this has no spare parts, so you will need to replace the instument cluster. But i recon its the sensor or a wire. remove sensore boiling water and check......i believe the sensore is in the thermostat housing, under the tank, not 100% sure though, someone else might know.Rick

I'd check the temp sensor is connected.
I don't have a manual handy but it's probably in the thermostat housing.
