Hi all,
I have a 1993 900rr that doesn't seem to drop in rpm's when I let off the gas to shift. When I pull in the clutch, the engine slowly drifts down in RPMs to an idle. I don't really rev it too much when riding, since I'm new to sport bikes.

It sounds like a vacuum hose to me, or maybe a sticky throttle cable. I hope the experts here can give some input.

I would like to avoid taking the carbs apart today, but if I have to, I will. It's too nice today to be broke down!

Is the throttle grip snapping back to fully closed or is it dragging?
Are there any hoses or cables interfering with the movement of the throttle linkage between the carbs?
Has the bike been sitting recently?
Holding a steady engine speed try spraying starter fluid at each of the intake manifolds. If you hear any change in engine speed then you know it's sucking air.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I fixed it. I pulled the carbs and cleand everything out. It runs a lot better now, except for a little popping on decel. I think I can live with that.

However..... After I got everything back together, my neutral light won't turn off. Could I have bumped anthing loose? Where is the sensor?
