Would any local places carry a Chain Press Tool? How about a hardware store or a place like that? I would like to ride my bike this weekend, but I need a chain press tool to get the new chain on, and my buddy is away for the weekend.
I don't know if this is an option for you, but I usually throw my bike in the van and take it to my nearest dealer. I cut the chain to length and get the new sprockets already on before leaving. It takes them about 5 minutes to pin the chain and they usually don't charge anything.
