Hi guys,
I'm new here but I'm a member of the George Mason University FSAE we have selected a 2001 F4i as our engine and we have decided to go the turbo route but unfortunately, we've been having some trouble with the selection of our turbo, and getting information about it. I spent a couple of hours on here so far just on this topic and I've seen that there are people on here that have done this but they don't list any true specifics about the turbo, although they do mention that most of the work that they do is one-off. I was wondering if you guys could help us out here and give us suggestions for turbos or if you've built one yourself if you wouldn't mind reaching out to us about it! It would really help us and would be greatly appreciated! 😄

Hey man, I'm actually interested in the same engine as you for but for a high school project FSAE car. You mentioned George Mason has an FSAE team? I've done extensive research as to if Mason has one or not, but I can't find any traces. Your post was very recent so does Mason now have an official team? Any progress on the build? Sorry for not really answering your question, I just stumbled on this post and can't help but ask because I'm strongly considering Mason although I can't find a team at the University.
