Alright so I bought this CBR600rr5 from a friend for $800 because who ever was working on it before destroyed the harness and fenders for what ever reason. It may have been laid out but not in a wreck the right crankcase cover has some scratches. I've bought and installed a new meter, sub-harness, main harness, flush mount front signals, fairings and finally a tail light with integrated signals from TST Industries with a flasher relay and resistors. I got it all wired in and now when I turn the signal on to either side the signal with stays solid then its turned off they go off. I guess what I'm saying is how am I to get the blinkers blinking? I'm at a loss, once this is fixed I can sell it and make my profit.

Thanks what I've been thinking. I've been stumped over this bike for some time. It was such a wreck when I bought it. I guess I'll got to radio shack and see if they got a flasher relay. I don't think I can rely on the schematics, before I went and bought a new sub-harness I rewired the sub-harness making my own. The light stayed on because the green wires are all wrong on the schematics. also I got another question this is my first sport bike rebuild. so is it normal for only one head light to be running when in low and both to come on then in high? I looked at the bulbs, there fine. switched the bulbs, some thing.

with the 600s, yep. that's proper.

...and Ian doesn't know what the 7734 he's talking about. go see your other thread for a GOOD and thorough explanation :deal: :rotfl:

This might help. Maybe...

Brake/Taillight:
Green/Yellow = Brake Light
Green = Ground
Black/Brown = Tail Light

License Plate Light:
Black/Brown = License Plate Light (same electrical point as above)
Green = Ground

Left Rear Turn Signal:
Orange = Signal
Green = Ground

Right Rear Turn Signal:
Light-Blue = Signal
Green = Ground

Front Left Turn Signal/Running Light:
Orange = Signal
Orange/White = Running Light
Green = Ground

Front Right Turn Signal/Running Light:
Light-Blue = Signal
Light-Blue/White = Running Light
Green = Ground

I don't know if you have running lights, if not ignore that.
I have also found in the older Hondas, sometimes the green wires from the signals go to a single ground connector at the harness. Do you have any connectors coming from the harness that are double and on a green wire? That one confused me once...

thank you al for the input. I got them working last night. it was my own fault. I had hooked my flasher relay up backwards. oops. haha switched them around and they flash now. :rotfl:

Yeah I know right, some time it's the simplest of things. Alright so new question, I'm looking to rebuild another bike once I paint this CBR and sell it. The Bile is for my wife who's 5'4" about 115 lbs. she likes the Honda rebel. I like it as well but I want to surprise her with a classic. What bike should I rebuild? I've been thinking like a Norton or a triumph from the 70's or 80's.

Sounds like the flasher relay is not wired in properly.
Simple, to the point lol

Added benefit for OP, thanks for the assist Jon:thumb:

Easily fixable, happens to the best of us, and I can say that because I did it on my Red Rocker build. It's in the thread, when I wired in some aftermarket turn signals the dash indicator stayed on solid, took a bit of maneuvering but I got them right:D

ding ding ding!! :nod:
