I want to invest in a back protector.

Has anyone got any tried and tested recommendations that I can buy in the UK? :)

I use a Knox back protector, very comfy, and ticks all the box's for safety, some i used in the past were to bulky to wear.

Hi never used one, 30 years on a bike and never felt the need, That said i bought one just before xmas. a knox brand new never used got it for £30 inc carrage...(bargain). not used it as yet but hope it feels right when ridding. To be honest if i dont feel right with it i will sell it...dumb i know but i like to feel relaxed when ridding.knox are ment to be one of the best..:)
Ive got a Forcefield, tried and tested by urs truly, picked a fence post at speed (unintentionally) did the job, I walked away.
What I like about it is, its nice and flat and comfortable
I have a Knox one which is OK but a bit bulky (old design now).

The Forcefield ones usually win the Ride triangle, if that holds any value for you.
I've got a dainese protector that fits great under all my riding gear especially the track leathers. I find it to be a great fit, not roasting hot and extremely light. I would highly recommend it albeit a little more expensive than other brands.
Also consider a chest protector (integrated or seperate) :thumb:
I don't know if you can get a hold of ICON products over the pond but I wear the ICON Field Armor Vest EVERY time I get on the bike. Ride Icon. It just recently literally saved the skin on my back as well as preventing possible injury when I went down about a week ago. I slid 20-30 feet on the back protector, it held up awesome and I didn't feel a thing when I landed on my back. Just has some scuffs now...

I use both the Knox and Icon. I like the Icon a little better since it has a front protection as well. Both are great and you can't go wrong.

I was wearing the back protector over my sweatshirt when I had the accident... but I do also wear the ICON back protector under my Scorpion jacket and it fits just fine.
I don't know if you guys ever heard of this company, but I use a highvelocitygear back protector.

No issues so far, I've had it for many years.
Im a huge fan of the Dainese material.
Got 2 jackets and 2 back protectors, all top notch gear.

The Dainese HPC Back protector is my favorite.
