Replaced the rear housing of the speedo. Previous owner broke 2 mounting tabs off and had it zip-tied to the bracket.

Next up, ignition, tank cap and rear lock. The key can pull out of the front when it's in run and the tank has a separate key. Tired of carrying both.

Finally found a stock set of clipons to replace the ugly ones, they even had the bar ends! They're about 3/4" taller but have a slightly sharper downward angle. In the end the hands sit probably 1/2" higher. Also got rid of the junk grips for some progrips. Continuing the "red" aluminum delete, replaced the levers with black ones.

Anywho, clipons and levers for sale... Lol

There's no cost involved in turning them down. It's the stock clutch and brake brackets. I just have aftermarket levers because the bike came with ugly pink (faded red) ones. Just loosen the clamp.and turn it till it's comfortable.

might want to measure clearances at full lock. you might need a different reservoir for the brakes as it doesn't look like it'll fit under the fairing stay. i thought about risers but the stock position is a lot more comfortable than those junk clipons that were on.

yes off the viffer. it has a baritone now and it sounds great. the previous owner added it because he said it was too loud. i don't notice an overall volume difference but it definitely took away the low notes.
Yes, 5th gen was the last with gear driven cams.

i did not but for some reason this computer thinks i am. there's a 90 mile wide lake between us!
